I’ve dedicated the past 3 years of my life pursuing a career I’m truly passionate about: Game Development.
Through hands-on projects, experimentation, and constant learning, I’ve explored the world of gameplay programming — and I’d love to share that journey with you.
This project started as a way to learn Unreal Engine’s basics, but as I explored its features, I grew to love the engine. I spent 6 weeks working daily on what became my biggest indie project yet.
The largest group project I’ve worked on, where the game’s unique mechanics pushed our design skills to the limit and led to something truly special.
My first Unity project, where I ventured into horror and took on the full design and scripting of the game. It’s an indie creation I’m truly proud of.
One of my most challenging projects to date, this experience greatly enhanced my coding skills. Guided by game design patterns, I was able to make my very own game engine from scratch.
My interest in programming began at a young age, during high school. The curriculum allowed me to focus on C++ programming, primarily for solving logical problems and algorithms. I was often ahead of the class, always looking for the most efficient ways to tackle complex exercises.
This early enthusiasm for C++, combined with my love for drawing and video games, naturally led me toward the gaming industry.
Although I was determined to pursue a career in Game Development, the opportunities available in Romania were limited. I knew I would need to make some sacrifices to follow my dream path. After thorough research, I discovered that the program offered by Digital Arts and Entertainment in Belgium was the right fit for me.
While I was initially drawn to the artistic side of game development as well, I ultimately chose to specialize in Gameplay Programming.
I consider myself someone who rarely gets bored. In my free time, aside from working on personal indie game projects, I enjoy reading, drawing, watching anime, and playing video games. I also stay fairly active by going to the gym, practicing yoga or pilates, and going on nature walks — they’re my cup of tea.
